Who We Are

Building Women's Economic Power Through Evidence

WEDGE Africa (Women Empowerment for Digital and Green Economy in Africa) is a Ghanaian organisation designing and delivering evidence-led programmes at the intersection of women's economic empowerment, digital inclusion, climate-smart agriculture, and market systems development.

We believe women already possess the determination and potential to succeed. By combining enterprise knowledge, digital tools, climate-smart practices, and fair market access through sustained accompaniment, we help women build resilient farm businesses that create lasting economic opportunity.

Our Story
Our Approach

Four Pathways to Women's Economic Power

We work across four interconnected areas. Lasting change for women in agriculture requires more than one lever.

Women's Economic Empowerment

Building women's financial literacy, business skills, and agency to own and grow their enterprises with confidence.

Digital Inclusion

Building women's confidence to use digital recordkeeping, mobile money, and practical digital tools that strengthen farm businesses.

Green & Climate-Smart Agriculture

Introducing sustainable farming practices — mulching, IPM, soil health, composting — that protect yields and the environment.

Market Access & Linkages

Connecting women to trusted buyers through market brokerage, price intelligence, and stronger market relationships.

Flagship Programme

The GROW Programme

GROW stands for Growing Resilient Opportunities for Women. Our flagship programme supports women vegetable farmers through a structured six-month accompaniment model that integrates business development, digital recordkeeping, climate-smart agriculture, and fair market access.
